Why Am I Studying Black History?
History
is an important subject area. It is the “story” of all events that have
occurred in the past – or at least the ones we know about. In studying
history, we study people all over the world. In completing this project
(and the three to follow), you are learning about Black History. It is
part of all our histories as Canadians and as world citizens.

Great idea. But why has the collective world chosen the shortest month of the year to celebrate one of the most interesting times in history? Why not a longer month, say, March?
ReplyDeleteI took an African American history course in college and really enjoyed it.
