On index cards make a list of tasks:
- sharpening your pencil
- hanging up your coat
- pouring a glass of water
- hammar a nail
- jump rope
- climb a fence
- pat a dog
- eat a sandwich
- throw a ball
- fasten a seat-belt
I have a similar activity for charades that focus on verbs and adverbs. For example, the card might say "walking slowly". Once the phrase is guessed, then the students identify the verb and adverb. However, I didn't think my class was ready for that yet, so I'm going to try Noun & Verb Charades first.
Learn by playing, what a great combination. I find my son is more receptive to this style of learning than, simply going at it the old fashion way. He loves playing games. So if I'm able to somehow incorporate a school related activity, all the better.
